Purchased my Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean from Burdeen's downtown location and the whole experience was fantastic. My sales associate knew every detail about the co-axial movement and let me try on probably six different models before I made my decision. They even threw in a nice Wolf watch box. Best watch buying experience I've had in Chicago.
Great selection of TAG Heuer at the Buffalo Grove store. I picked up a Carrera Chronograph for my husband's anniversary gift and the staff was super helpful with sizing the bracelet. Only reason for four stars is the wait time — I had an appointment but still waited about 20 minutes. Otherwise excellent.
Burdeen's is hands down the best place in Chicago to buy an Omega. I got my Speedmaster Moonwatch there last month and the whole transaction was smooth. They gave me a great trade-in value on my old TAG Monaco too. These folks genuinely love watches and it shows.
Went in looking for a Breitling Navitimer for my father's 60th birthday. Sales associate seemed disinterested and kept checking his phone during our conversation. The watch I wanted wasn't in stock and they couldn't give me a clear timeline for ordering it. Expected better service from a store with this reputation.
My wife and I drove two hours from Milwaukee to visit Burdeen's downtown and it was absolutely worth the trip. The Rolex Submariner selection was impressive and the staff treated us like royalty even though we were clearly nervous first-time luxury buyers. Walked out with a beautiful Datejust for my wife and couldn't be happier.
Solid experience buying my Omega Constellation at the Buffalo Grove location. The team there is knowledgeable and friendly. Pricing was fair and they matched what I'd seen online at other authorized dealers. Wish they had a slightly bigger Breitling selection but overall very satisfied.
I've been a Burdeen's customer for over three years now and they never disappoint. Most recently picked up a TAG Heuer Aquaracer for daily wear. Their service department is top-notch too — they regulated my Omega Seamaster to within COSC specs in less than a week. True professionals.
Mixed feelings about my experience. Bought a Breitling Superocean Heritage here and the watch itself is perfect, but the follow-up service was lacking. I was promised a call when the extra links came in for bracelet adjustment and nobody ever called me. Had to follow up three times over six weeks. Watch is great, communication needs work.
Just picked up my Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in the blue wave dial and I'm absolutely thrilled. Burdeen's downtown has a gorgeous showroom and the staff made the entire purchase feel like a special occasion. They even opened a bottle of sparkling water to celebrate. Class act all the way.
My husband surprised me with a Rolex Oyster Perpetual from Burdeen's for our 25th anniversary and the whole story of how they helped him pick it out was so sweet. The staff apparently spent an hour with him going through different dial colors and sizes. The pink dial he chose is absolutely perfect. Thank you Burdeen's!
Good experience overall at the downtown Chicago location. Bought a TAG Heuer Formula 1 chronograph. Salesperson was well-informed about the Calibre 16 movement. Parking in the area is a pain though — would be nice if they validated parking or had their own lot. The watch itself was priced fairly and came with all documentation.
Extremely disappointed with my visit to the Buffalo Grove store. I had called ahead to confirm they had the Omega De Ville Prestige in stock and was told yes. Drove 45 minutes only to find out they had sold it the day before and nobody bothered to call me. No apology offered, just a shrug. Won't be back.
Burdeen's earned a customer for life. I brought in my grandfather's vintage Omega Geneve that hadn't run in 20 years and their service team brought it back to life beautifully. The restoration cost was very reasonable and the watch now keeps incredible time. These people understand that watches carry stories and memories.
Beautiful store with a really nice selection of Omega watches. My fiancé and I went in to look at wedding gifts for each other and left with a Seamaster Aqua Terra for him. Staff was patient and let us take our time deciding. Minor gripe: they were a bit pushy about the extended warranty. Otherwise wonderful experience.
Just had the best watch buying experience at Burdeen's downtown. I went in for a Breitling Colt and walked out with the Avenger instead because the sales associate took the time to explain why it suited my wrist better. Honest advice like that is rare. They even followed up a week later to make sure everything was good. Phenomenal service.
The downtown store is beautiful and has a great selection but I felt rushed during my visit. I was looking at Rolex Datejust models and the associate kept steering me toward the more expensive options. I ended up buying elsewhere where I felt my budget was respected more. Still, I can't deny their inventory is impressive.
I've purchased three Omegas from Burdeen's over the years — a Speedmaster, a Seamaster, and most recently a Constellation Globemaster for my retirement. Every single transaction has been flawless. The staff remembers my name and preferences. This is how luxury retail should work. Chicago is lucky to have them.
Got my TAG Heuer Link from the Buffalo Grove location. The process was straightforward and the price was competitive with other ADs I checked. Store has a warm, family-owned feel that you don't get at the big chains. Would have given five stars but the selection of ladies' watches was a bit limited compared to what I've seen online.
Burdeen's serviced my Omega Planet Ocean that had moisture damage from a swimming accident. I thought it was a total loss but their watchmaker worked miracles. The watch came back looking brand new and running perfectly. The repair estimate was accurate and they completed it on time. Can't recommend their service department enough.
Visited the downtown store during a business trip to Chicago. While the store itself is lovely, I found the sales staff to be somewhat snooty and not particularly knowledgeable about the Breitling line. I asked about the Calibre B20 movement and got a blank stare. For a store that positions itself as Chicago's premier watch destination, I expected deeper product knowledge.
My first luxury watch purchase and Burdeen's made it unforgettable. I chose the Omega Seamaster 300M in black and the team walked me through everything — the movement, the warranty, how to care for it. They even taught me how to use the helium escape valve, not that I'll ever need it. Such a personal touch you just can't get online.
Bought a Rolex Explorer II from Burdeen's downtown. The store has a great vibe and the selection of sports Rolexes was better than most ADs I've visited in the Midwest. Transaction was smooth and paperwork was handled efficiently. Only downside is they don't offer much in the way of discounts or perks for such a big purchase.
I comparison-shopped at every watch store in Chicago before buying my Omega Speedmaster '57 from Burdeen's. Nobody else came close in terms of customer service and genuine enthusiasm for the product. My sales associate shared the history of the Speedmaster's NASA connection for a good 15 minutes — I loved every second of it.
Decent experience but not without hiccups. Ordered a TAG Heuer Autavia through the Buffalo Grove store and was told 4-6 weeks. It took almost 12 weeks with very little communication in between. The watch arrived in perfect condition and the price was fair, but the wait and lack of updates were frustrating. They did apologize and threw in a free strap, which was a nice gesture.
My fiancé bought my engagement present — a stunning Omega Constellation with the mother of pearl dial — from Burdeen's. The boutique experience was so special he said. They gave him champagne while he shopped and even wrote a handwritten thank-you note. This kind of personal attention is why brick-and-mortar stores still matter.
Burdeen's downtown has a fantastic Omega display. I spent an hour trying on Seamasters and the staff couldn't have been more patient. Ended up with the Seamaster 300 Heritage and absolutely love it. I'm docking one star only because parking near their location is expensive and kind of a hassle. The store experience itself was impeccable.
We've been buying from Burdeen's since they opened in '88. My latest acquisition is a TAG Heuer Carrera and it's beautiful. Three generations of our family have trusted them with our watch and jewelry purchases. The fact that they're still family-owned and operated after all these years says everything about their integrity.
Not impressed with the trade-in offer on my Omega Seamaster. I brought in a well-maintained 2019 model and they offered me about 40% of market value. I understand dealers need margin but this felt like they were trying to take advantage. Ended up selling it privately for almost double their offer. I still shop here for new pieces but beware of trade-ins.
The Buffalo Grove location is a hidden gem. Smaller than downtown but the service is incredibly personal. I brought in my Breitling Galactic for a battery change and polish and it came back looking like new. Fair pricing and fast turnaround. The manager even remembered me from my visit six months prior. Great community store.
Burdeen's helped me find the perfect 40th birthday gift for myself — an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional on the Hesalite crystal. The whole buying ritual, trying it on, the unboxing experience — it was everything I'd dreamed of. They even set the time and date for me and showed me how to properly wind a manual movement. Bucket list moment.
Clean, well-lit store with a great selection of Omegas and TAG Heuers. Bought my first luxury watch here, a TAG Heuer Carrera Lady, and the sales team was wonderful about explaining everything to a complete novice. Would love to see a bigger selection of women's Rolex models though. The ones they had were mostly Datejusts in larger sizes.
I've had mixed experiences here. My first purchase, an Omega Aqua Terra, went smoothly and I was very happy. But when I came back to look at Rolex, I got a totally different salesperson who seemed uninterested in helping me unless I was spending serious money. Left without buying. I might go back for Omega but definitely not for Rolex shopping.
After months of research, I finally pulled the trigger on a Breitling Premier B01 chronograph at Burdeen's downtown. The whole team made it such a celebratory experience. They took photos of the moment, gave me a beautiful gift bag, and the manager personally came over to congratulate me. This is why I'll never buy a watch online.
Can't say enough good things about Burdeen's service department. Sent in my Omega Seamaster for its five-year service and they replaced the crystal, did a full movement overhaul, and pressure tested it. Came back running at +1 second per day. Absolute perfection. Chicago's lucky to have an authorized service center this good.
I appreciate that Burdeen's carries both entry-level and high-end luxury pieces. Started with a TAG Heuer Formula 1 here three years ago and just upgraded to an Omega Seamaster. They remember their repeat customers and make you feel valued regardless of your budget. Wish their hours were a bit longer on weekends though.
Called ahead to ask about Rolex GMT-Master II availability and was told to come in. Drove an hour to downtown Chicago only to be told they had no sports Rolex in stock and hadn't for weeks. Complete waste of my time. I get that Rolex supply is tight but don't waste people's time. At least validate my parking.
My husband bought me a beautiful Omega De Ville Trésor for our anniversary and the whole experience at Burdeen's was magical. The boutique is elegant and the staff made us feel so special. They even gave us restaurant recommendations for dinner afterward. This is luxury done right — personal, warm, and knowledgeable.
Good dealer for Omega in the Chicago area. I purchased my Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M here and the pricing was in line with other ADs. The sales associate was well-versed in the technical specs. Store atmosphere is upscale without being stuffy. I would recommend making an appointment though — walk-ins can have a long wait on Saturdays.
Burdeen's is simply the best jewelry and watch store in Chicago, period. I've been a customer since 2010 and they've never let me down. Last month I got a TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 smartwatch and the staff spent a good hour helping me set it up and sync it with my phone. Above and beyond, as always.
Purchased my grail watch, the Omega Speedmaster '57 Chronograph, from Burdeen's downtown and the experience matched the significance of the purchase. The team understood how much this watch meant to me and treated the occasion with real respect. Beautiful store, wonderful people, and a watch I'll cherish forever.
The downtown location is stunning but I felt a bit out of place. I was dressed casually and the staff seemed more attentive to the well-dressed customers. I eventually got help and bought a TAG Heuer watch, but the experience could have been more welcoming. The watch is beautiful and fairly priced, so there's that.
Took my Breitling Chronomat to Burdeen's for service after a bad experience at another shop. The watchmaker here immediately identified the issue — a misaligned reset hammer — and fixed it within a week. The Chronomat now resets to zero perfectly and runs beautifully. These folks really know their stuff. Highly recommend their service center.
Visited the Buffalo Grove location for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. It's smaller but the personal attention is wonderful. My sales associate helped me pick out an Omega Constellation for my mother's 70th birthday and even arranged for a personalized engraving. A really thoughtful touch that made the gift extra special.
